European Union trademarks
European Union Trademarks are registered for 10 years and can be renewed indefinitely for periods of 10 years each.
Any signs, in particular, words (including names of persons), or drawings, letters, figures, colors, shape of the product or its packaging, or sounds, may constitute European Union trade marks.
The proceeding for a European Union trademark takes about 6/7 months.
Once registered, the ® symbol can be used to show that the trademark is registered.
The European Union Trademark system allows you to register your trademark in the European Union in a single application. A European Union trademark (EUTM) grants exclusive rights in all current and future EU Member States through a single registration.
